In early June 2015, 360 videos can be viewed from the [[Google Cardboard]]. The normally 2D 360 videos can now be transformed into an [[immersive]] [[VR]] experience. When viewing a YouTube video from the YouTube apps on your smartphone, you can tap the Google Cardboard Icon then insert the smartphone into a Google Cardboard device to activate VR mode.
On July 26, 2015, YouTube announced the release of stereoscopic 3D, 360 degree videos soon. Additionally, YouTube introduced 360 degree video ads. Bud Light became the first advertiser to run 360 Video ads on YouTube.
