==Intro==
At a glance, FOVE 0 looks like one of the many typical VR headsets you could get online. That changes when you plugged it on and start blasting off enemies with your eyes. You’ll be amazed by its eye tracking technology. Available for order now at $599, this first version of FOVE VR headset is primarily designed for VR developers and hobbyists alike with game plugins supporting popular platforms like Unity, Unreal and Xenko.

==Features==
The ultra low latency stereo eye tracking technology puts FOVE’s maiden VR headset as one of the first VR headset released with eye tracking capabilities.The accuracy of its eye tracking technology allowed FOVE to implement the “foveated rendering” on its headset that allows more details on the area that are focused upon.

The FOVE 0’s 2560 x 1440 display resolution is arguably one of the highest within its peer, edging out established competitors like Occulus Rift and HTC Vive by 40% per eye. The frame rate of 70Hz, however, puts it significantly below popular competitors.

Weighing 520g and built with adjustable velcro straps, and with two arrays of 6 IR sensors and one infrared camera in front of each eye, FOVE 0 sports a simple design in white but may go through refinement as the company planned to release a consumer version down the line.

According to the company, FOVE 0 may not work well with colored contacts or glasses as it may affect the eye tracking capabilities. FOVE 0 may not be the most comfortable VR headset around, but it’s cutting-edge eye tracking technology made it worth the wait for the next improvised version.

To get started with FOVE 0, you’ll need to install the FOVE_Setup provided at their site

FOVE is currently preparing drivers for SteamVR and OSVR that will integrate FOVE 0 to the popular VR platform.

FOVE Inc. is founded by Yuka Kojima and Lochlainn Wilson, a former game producer at Sony Interactive Entertainment and a developer with deep background in virtual reality respectively.

FOVE started out from the University of Tokyo, and managed to raise $480,650 for the Kickstarter campaign it started in May 2015.

In last year’s Tokyo Game Show 2016, FOVE showcased 3 new demos that highlight the eye tracking capabilities of the FOVE 0, building up momentum for the maiden shipping of the VR headsets in January, 2017
