Oculus Rift is a series of [[Virtual Reality]] head-mounted display displays developed by [[Oculus VR]]. As a [[VR Platform]], Oculus Rift produces not only hardware but also an [[#Oculus SDK|SDK]], [[App Store]], software, [[#Accessories|accessories]] and most importantly a passionate and lively community of developers and enthusiats. Oculus Rift has released 2 development kits, [[DK1]] in March 29, 2013 and [[DK2]] in July, 2014. The first 2 versions, called Development Kits, are intended for creators and hardcore enthusiasts of [[VR]] content. The third version of Oculus Rift will be a consumer version scheduled for a 2015 release.
