The data is processed and rendered with OTOY's technology to create a virtual environment that can be explored by an user wearing a head-tracking [[HMD]].

Render the Metaverse is a [[Virtual Reality]] art competition presented by OTOY and [[Oculus VR]]. Users can enter their 360 degrees panoramic art works created with OTOY's OctaneVR software into the contest and win up to $35,000 in prize money. The contest is judged by [[John Carmack]], [[Alex Ross]] and [[Jules Urbach]] and lasts from April 27, 2015 to July 26, 2015.
 
OTOY's OctaneVR is free for download during the competition.
