Developing in stealth mode since 2011, Magic Leap's goal is to create a [[virtual retinal display]] system using [[light fields]]. The main device of Magic Leap is a [[optical head-mounted display]] with a tiny projector that shines light onto a transparent lens, which deflects the light onto the user's retina. Named [[Dynamic Digitized Lightfield Signaldynamic digitized lightfield signal]] by Magic Leap, this process is different from the traditional stereoscopic 3D technology used in movies and other [[VR]] devices such as [[Oculus Rift]].
