WEVR is a [[virtual reality]] [[company]] / [[community]] based in Venice, California. WEVR develops a specialized [[VR]] media player for producers of [[360 Video]]s and other types of cinematic virtual reality. [[theBlue]], one of the first demos for [[HTC Vive]], was created by WEVR.
In March 2015, WEVR launched a $1 million grant that gives $5000 to $50,000 to content producers to create VR videos with WEVR's media player.
