A Lynx R1 headset
The Lynx R1 is an MR headset from Lynx. It has flat focus. It has video passthrough. It is an all in one headset.
It was the first or one of the first to have the concept of a VR headset that does not take up the user's entire field of vision. The Quest Pro was largely a copy of its design.
The video passthrough on the Lynx R1 has more latency than the Quest Pro.
Its field of view is about 90 degrees by 90 degrees.
It uses innovative optics using a freeform prism.
The R1 was presented at SPIE Photonics West 2020.[1]
The R1 runs a variant of android.
Manufacturing
Lynx used Compal in Taiwan/China as its manufacturer.[2]
The R1 uses optics from Limbak.[3]
