It allows users to easily scan real spaces and create highly immersive 3D models without any special editing or post-processing. The camera works in conjunction with an iPad app that allows for bird’s view of the scene and on-the-fly editing. It takes only about 30 minutes to scan 1,000 sq ft area. 3D models itself are created in the Matterport Cloud, where advanced computer vision algorithms combine 3D mesh with HDR panoramic data.
