Introduction
The Pico Neo 2 is a Integrated headset with the power to wirelessly stream SteamVR from certain PCs. It offers a HMD with a PU leather facial interface and two controllers with 6DoF, which was an upgrade from the G2’s 3DoF.[1]
Its sibling model, the Neo 2 Eye, offers integrated eye tracking and dynamic, foveated rendering, powered by Tobii Spotlight Technology, “for enhanced mechanics and data gathering allowing your business to gain key insights into customer behavior, reduce training time, and to improve safety and productivity.”[2]
Both models are built for enterprise, but can be purchased for personal use in Asia.[3]
There was also a “Lite” version built for Asian consumers in the latter half of 2020. This was meant for consumers, rather than enterprises, and started around $560 (3799 yuan).[4]
Release and Pricing
The Pico Neo 2 and Neo 2 Eye started shipping worldwide on May 27, 2020. The Neo 2 started at $699 and Eye at $899.[5]
Hardware

On the headset:
- There is a micro SD card slot that enables you to store up to an additional 256GB.
- You can hard-wire your headphones or use Bluetooth instead of the built-in speakers.
- The battery is positioned on the back, which may make it more comfortable and balanced than other HMDs.
To stream SteamVR, the Neo 2 uses a “wireless 2X2 MIMO 802.11ac 5G link with a common MIMO 5G router."[2]

Input Devices
Each controller contains a series of buttons, a joystick and a back button. There are no touch sensors.[3]
