Parallax

Parallax, also known as motion parallax, is the relative movement of objects as a result of a change in point of view of the head. When objects move relative to each other in a view, the human brain subconsciously estimates their size and distance.

This should not be confused with ocular parallax, which happens due to the rotation of the eye.
